Hand crafted console/sofa table

I am so excited to see this sofa table come to life.  I found what I wanted on line but wasn't too keen on the price tag of $425.  I wanted something simple, natural or an aged stain look to it.  My dad thought I should have something for storage but remember that little puppy we have.....yeah that is why I got rid of the last piece behind the couch- she had a hay day with what was stored in there. 

So my dad worked his magic and we laid out a plan.  He built it to get the first one down and I finished it.  She turned out beautiful.  I added some character by distressing it and adding "love" marks to it. My dad is so freakin' talented and can usually whip up anything I dream up.  

So here it is!! 

Did I tell you!!!!  I love it! 

See the worm holes, and "love" marks? I mixed a couple of stain colors together to get a light golden brown.
